Knitlob's Lair

Louhittaren Luola (Knitlob's Lair) was originally a blog by the Lair founder, Tuulia Salmela, to record her passion for all things hand made. The company was founded in 2010 to produce hand-dyed yarn and fiber for all crafting needs. 

Knitlob's Lair produces hand dyed yarns and fibers for many different purposes. You can select from over 150 colorways in our color charts. All colors can be dyed in any of our 15 different yarn bases. We will also happily dye yarns to your specific needs for a small fee.

All our yarns and fibers are dyed in small batches in our dye studio in Martinniemi, Haukipudas.

Our values

What drives us forward is the desire to produce high-quality yarn and fiber economically and ecologically. In our dyeing and packaging processes we aim to respect the nature as much as possible. As hand-dyed yarn and fiber are rather expensive, our main goal is to make sure every customer is happy with our products and customer service.
