EIKU Luonnotar Yarns
Luonnotar was introduced to our line of yarns in late 2015. Created together with the spinnery, it is our very first superwash merino single yarn.
This fingering weight yarn feels rather delicate on skein. Crafting with it reveals its true character - it is soft, yet surprisingly durable yarn. This matte yarn yields elegant accessories and sweaters with drape. Luonnotar is an excellent choice for lace projects, for which delicate and warm yarns are required.
Luonnotar is spun of superwash merino and it will not felt. However, we recommend hand-washing for this yarn.
These yarns are spun in Great Britain using mulesing-free South African Merino wool.
Concerning Eikus
Eikus are special cases, results of trial and error, and only a limited number of skeins are available for ordering. Usually Eikus cannot be repeated exactly as photographed, but our dyeing wizards may attempt similar results. If you see an Eiku colorway which appeals to you, but the number of skeins in stock is not quite enough, let us know. We are happy to create custom colorways for you!
Order the amount you need as a custom dye job, and let us know which colorway you have in mind. Custom batches are dyed in the same pot and are guaranteed to be of the same dyelot!
