EIKU Kuutar Yarns

Kuutar is a luxurious blend of superwash merino and bamboo. This yarn has a lot of drape and sheen, and it is the perfect choice for shawls and other accessories. This fingering weight yarn goes a long way, and it can be easily blended with other merino and merino blends.

Kuutar will not felt, but as it is a merino and bamboo blend, we recommend hand-washing for this yarn.

These yarns are spun in Great Britain using mulesing-free South African Merino wool.

Concerning Eikus

Eikus are special cases, results of trial and error, and only a limited number of skeins are available for ordering. Usually Eikus cannot be repeated exactly as photographed, but our dyeing wizards may attempt similar results. If you see an Eiku colorway which appeals to you, but the number of skeins in stock is not quite enough, let us know. We are happy to create custom colorways for you! 

Order the amount you need as a custom dye job, and let us know which colorway you have in mind. Custom batches are dyed in the same pot and are guaranteed to be of the same dyelot!

100 g / approx. 400 m (3 ½ oz / approx. 440 yds).

50 % superwash merino wool, 50 % bamboo.

Recommended needle size 2,5-4 mm (US #1½ to #6).

Recommended stitch gauge in stockinette stitch: 17-28s/10 cm(4,25 to 7 stitches per inch).
